Bolin, Moscow, circa 1866 3 x 1-1/2 x 0-7/8 inches (7.6 x 3.8 x 2.2 cm) 82 grams (gross) PROVENANCE: Sotheby's, New York, Russian Works of Art, June 17, 1982, lot 77A; Ruth S. Nelkin acquired this work for $1650. This enigmatic perfume flacon bears an interesting Royal Crown and the initial W suggesting that it may have been a gift to the Prussian King Wilhelm I, later German Emperor, whose reign began in 1866.
