On the reverse of the frame is written 'Noble W. Abrahams - Captain US Navy CO - Good by to my U.S. Naval Damage Control Training Center Staff, Dec. 31, 1945, Phila. PA.' 21.5 x 16.5 inches in frame, 18 x 13 inches image area. Captain Noble Abrahams (1900-1991) had an extensive naval career, serving on the USS Colorado, McCormick, Truxtun, McFarland, Oklahoma (before sinking at Pearl Harbor), Goff, Iowa, and the Amphion.
