Illustrated with numerous excellent photos and drawings, several full-color full-page maps and one double-page color map depicting the evolution of the concept of the "Northwest" in American history including a full color folded 8"W x 18"L route map of the Chicago & North-Western railroad in 1900. The brown cloth bound cover has full color illustrations, covers are loose from binding. Intact pages exhibit age tanning and slight foxing throughout. Measures 5.25W x 8"L x .25D.
