Description
Native American, Western United States, Plains Tribes, likely Cheyenne, ca. mid to late 20th century CE. A pair of toddler moccasins with beadwork across the surfaces. The dark brown leather has a circular motif known as a keyhole pattern, which symbolizes the earth's portal / opening from which human ancestors first emerged from. The other pair is completely beaded in white with stepped triangular motifs in blue. Size of shoe: 5" L x 2.25" W (12.7 cm x 5.7 cm)

Condition
Ankle panel on dark leather pair is repaired and restored with a blue piece of suede. Tearing and losses to threads and missing some beads. Fair used condition. White beadwork is in great condition, missing a few beads, but otherwise intact.
