Antique Victorian c1890 Claret Print Cotton Dress. This antique Victorian c1890 hand made dress features a claret printed cotton and could possibly be a maternity dress as there is no defined waistline. It has a fold over collar with a pinafore style ruffled yoke, long sleeves gathered at the shoulders, tight gathers across the bust and upper back creating a loose fit, the skirt has an applied gathered flounce at the bottom of the skirt, and the underskirt has a cotton hem interfacing. The yoke of the dress is lined in the same plain cotton as the hem. The sleeves have 2 stitched holes for a cufflink style closure and no existing front closures. Laying flat the dress measures: shoulders 14'', bust 16'', sleeves 20.5'', length 51.5''. The dress is in good condition with general light fading, missing closures, a few small holes to the cotton lining at the yoke, and discolorations/spots to the cotton hem interfacing.
