Description: RAINGO FRERES, PARIS: AN 1830'S FRENCH ORIENTALIST GILT BRONZE CLOCK DEPICTING A SULTANthe Louis Philippe period ormolu figural mantel clock for the Ottoman market, surmounted by a figure of a reclining sultan wearing a turban and traditional dress, raised on an architectural clock case with scrolling foliate and an outswept base, the white enamelled dial with Roman numerals and gilt bezel, the twin train movement with outside countwheel and silk suspension striking on a bell, the backplate signed 'Raingo Freres Paris' in a circular stamp and 'Viner A Paris', '1296', with pendulum,27cm high
