Unissued example of a World War II Imperial Japanese Army summer combat cap for enlisted personnel. This was the standard combat cap used by the Japanese Army until the end of the war. Completely unused example constructed of Japanese olive green cotton cloth. Undated, but does exhibit a manufacturers label stamped on the inside, with some of the information blacked out. Two ventilation holes grommeted by stitching, appear on each side of the cap. Chinstrap made from the same material as the rest of the cap, is sewn to the front, and is also complete. Adjustment tie on the back of the cap running through four additional holes, also grommeted by stitching. Excellent example.
