A heavy silverplate cake/brides footed basket by the Wilcox Silver Plate Co. of Meriden, Connecticut, decorated with an elaborate band of blossom around a cusped rim and deep engraved leaf and blossom motif encircling the interior bottom, fancy handle that stays up on its own or can be laid back flat, silver plate appears in good condition other than some tarnish, stamped mark on the bottom "Quadruple Plate, Wilcox Silver Plate Co., 0821", size: 9 1/2 in. diameter x 9 1/2 in tall with handle extended and 6 1/2 in. tall with handle lowered, a few minor dimples/nicks consistent with age, but no wobble to base and is a useful antique still today. Use it to add some class to a tea party or dessert setting.
