Autograph letter signed by Admiral Horatio Nelson ("Nelson & Bronte"), ALS, one page (7 lines), [London], 1st March 1801, "To, The Commanding Officer of His Majesty's Ship London," concerning cost of materials "received on board that ship for the use of the Troops & the Commanding Officer of the Troops is to be answerable for the beds. [signed] Nelson & Bronte", letter 9”h x 7.25w”; framed 15.5”h x 19.5”l. Provenance: Estate of Meri Jaye, a renowned maritime collector and interior designer of passenger and cargo ships, Nob Hill, San Francisco. Note: In March 1801 was preparing for a Baltic Sea mission (led by Admiral Parker).
