2-pc dark red & black shot silk dress w/ woven arabesque & spot motif, emerald silk velvet shaped inset W band w/ metallic crystal & iridescent bead embroidered passementerie & faceted amber sugarloafs, skirt w/ green velvet hem facing, B 30”, L 16", skirt W 24”, L 42”, (CF bodice unstitched at W, sleeves let out, some missing beads, petersham torn, skirt W expanded) very good; 2-pc woven windowpane w/ irregular satin spot pattern, tulle collar & yoke insert w/ tape lace applique, silk satin scalloped edge, label “Holland, Boston”, B 38”, L 18”, skirt W 25”, L 39”, (lining heavily shattered, light stains up to 1”, 2.5” seam opening/few tears up to 1” in lace, few small holes) fair; t/w printed & patterned silk dress w/ linen lining c. 1835. Deaccessioned by the Valentine Museum.
