Description
1 turmeric faux hammered silk crepe trimmed w/ applied woven bands of brown bugle beads self belt w/ yellow paste buckle, c. 1939, B 40", W 28", L 57", (1.5" seam opening right SS, both SS's repaired, 1" hidden hole & no closures right SH, few missing beads, 0.5" stain CB hem) very good; 1 cream hammered silk crepe w/ diagonal rhinestone grid, rolled padded collar heavily studded w/ rhinestones, deep keyhole to W at CB, mid 1930s, B 34", W 28", L 62", (missing belt, light stains up to 4", 10" tidemark seat, discoloration, stone tarnish, seam openings up to 0.5" at SS's) good. Deaccessioned by the Valentine Museum to benefit collections care, preservation and future acquisitions.
