Overstreet: "Male bondage/torture cover; severed head story."Sausage Fest of Fear: Buff broski bound to terror-table by Crypt Keeper clone and his bespectacled, hunchbacked homeboy. The cover artist, possibly future Spidey inker Mike Esposito, has opted to depict a male victim, as opposed to the usual blonde-in-bondage scenario, making this mag's cover a sausage fest of fear. Come to think of it, two of the three covers in Weird Adventures' short-lived run focused on imperiled men; maybe that's why it crapped out at newsstands. The lousy dialogue probably didn't help much, either (typical talking head: "Unclean spirit of the night, desist! This girl is not yours and never will be yours!"). Anyway, this mag boasts several severed head panels, always a big plus ("The window frame is smashed. The jagged glass will make an excellent guillotine!"); a man who drowns in a roomful of blood; and a giant mosquito who siphons a guy's blood in a huge teacup of the mind, in what may be the WTF scenario of the century ("This MONSTER – it's trying to crush me! But this odor – why, its TEA!! And I'm in a cup of it... in my own MIND!").______________________________________________________________
