Title: WEIRD TERROR No. 7
Place Published:
Publisher:Comic Media [Indicia: Allen Hardy Associates, Inc.]
Date Published: September, 1953
Description:
CGC certified: Fine (6.0). Cream to off-white pages. Cover: Don Heck. Three stories by Heck, one each by Pat Morisi and Alberta Tewks. GPAnalysis: No reported sales in this grade. A 5.5 sold for $1920 in November 2021.
A madman incinerates a corpse in a blazing furnace as the caption invites the viewer to "CRAWL INTO THE BOWELS OF THE EARTH'S DEEPEST DUNGEONS." This ish features three Don Heck stories in addition to his cover — hella Heck, as the kids say.
Alberta Tewks' "Turnabout" features a scientist who creates a sentient car. Fed up with spinning his gears for humanity, the sentient car gets in the metaphorical driver's seat and rebuilds himself as a world-conquering robot. The robot hatches a scheme to enslave mankind by making us dependent upon his new creation: a line of fully functional lady sex-robots. The moral? "Nowadays, when monsters are created, they don't kill you. They SELL you!!" See Mysterious Adventures #16 (Lot 144) for another sordid sex-bot scenario.
