A watercolor painting, a maquette for the propaganda poster by the Russian artist Alexander Deineka. The artwork depicts a young strong man against the background of the red flag of the USSR. At the bottom of the picture is the text in Russian: Sports in the USSR. In the background there are a large number of people playing different sports. Signed with the artists initials. Aleksandr Aleksandrovich Deyneka 1899 to 1969, was a Soviet Russian painter, graphic artist and sculptor of Ukrainian origin, regarded as one of the most important Russian modernist figurative painters of the first half of the 20th century.
