A Soviet propaganda watercolor painting on paper by Nikolai Kochergin, a maquette for the propaganda poster. Circa mid 20th century. The painting depicts a huge man standing above the city, pointing at the text calling for a subscription to the Leningradsky Rabochiy newspaper, published from 1951 to 1967. Signed with the artists initials. Matted. Nikolai Mikhailovich Kochergin, 1897 to 1974, Honored Artist of Russia, graphic artist, illustrator of Russian fairy tales.
