A large Russian silver tankard, St. Petersburg, Nichols & Plinke, 1870 - 1891Silver, gilt interior. On four globular feet. Of cylindrical form, the exterior engraved with rocailles, foliage, and blossoms. The slightly domed cover decorated en suite. Shell thumbpiece. Underside with city mark, "84" hallmark, unidentified assayer's mark "IE??" (active 1870-1891), master mark "PK" and "NP". Signs of use. Dimensions 20.5 x 19 x 13.3 cm. Weight 1,117 g.Condition: II +
