Description
A German law book of Arch Duke August of Saxonia, Dresden, 1598Important codification of Saxonian law in four parts: procedure, civil law, inheritance law and penal code. German. Printed in Dresden at Gimel Bergen, 1598. 8° (dimensions 17.2 x 14.4 cm). 101 numbered sheets, 13 sheets with contents, four full-page woodcusts at the end. The first leave newly bound, some damage to the edges. The other pages throughout solid print, clean, with numerous half-page woodcuts. New half-leather binding, tightly cut on top (no loss of text). A nice copy.Condition: II - III
