A late 19th/early 20th century French brass mounted tortoiseshell mantle clock the dial with applied enamel plaque signed for Balthazar a Paris, the movement numbered 38660, the rectangular arched case with ogee and foliate cast table top with foliate urn and acorn finials, the scrolling sides with foliate scroll mounts, and glazed rectangular viewing apertures, the base with applied stylised scallop shell mount to the apron, on toupie feet, the 3.5' brass dial with applied enamel plaques with Roman numerals, the lower mask with applied cartouche and enamel signature plaque, the brass twin train movement with Brocot type suspension, striking on a coiled steel gong, with pendulum, 33cm high, 19.5cm wide, 11cm deep This lot is subject to the following lot symbols: Y Y Subject to CITES regulations when exporting items outside of the UK, see clause 13.
