Description
A POLISHED BRASS CARRIAGE CLOCK, POSSIBLY FRENCH, LATE 19TH/EARLY 20TH CENTURY, with a circular white enameled dial centering blue Arabic chapters and black quarter hour numerals within a traditional rectangular case enclosing beveled glass panel sides surmounted by a hinged carrying handle over an oval glass window and repeater button, reversing to a glass paneled glass door opening to a brass backplate, fitted with a disc hammer striking a blued metal gong, raised on a conforming base and block feet.
