An eclectic set of Native Southwest pottery vessels from New Mexico. Each vessel is signed by a different artist - Lucy R Suina (Cochiti), A.A. Peynetsa Zuni (Avelia & Anderson Peynetsa, Zuni Pueblo Potters) and Carmen Veloz (Mata Ortiz). The vessels are fired earthenware with hand painted stylized geometric designs as well as native sculptural figures. Acoma pottery has been sought-after for decades for the Native American people of this region are known for a wealth of culture and art. Recognized for the intricate line designs which the artists completed freehand. Although decorative, the objects were made with functionality in mind and could also be used for drinking, storage, or ceremonial purposes. From a private collection. Dimensions: 2.5"h x 3"w / 2.25"h x 1.75"w x 2"d / 1.25"h x 2.5"dia. In exceptionally good vintage condition consistent with age.
