Native American, Southwest, New Mexico, Puebloans, ca. 1930s CE. Two adorable hand-built polychrome ceramics, including a near-miniature depiction of an adorable white mouse with large ears, lashed eyes, a whiskered snout, extended front paws, and a long tail - all details painted in jet black against the white ground. Joining him is a petite boot-shaped vessel decorated with black and red stripes alternating with registers of red dots. Quite an endearing pair. Size: 2.875" L (7.3 cm); 2" H (5.1 cm) on included custom stand.

Chip to tip and rim of boot vessel. Normal surface wear with a few scuffs/pigment losses to boot surface as shown. Mouse is in excellent condition with some mineral deposits on the surface.
