A Wilson-Type Screw Barrel Microscope, ca. 1725,
Unsigned. With detachable handle, 2 1/2 inch outer tube with steel spring with 1 1/2 inch inner tube containing condenser, slide holder and lens. With six lenses, each numbered. Six bone slides, one brass slide holder, three glass tubes with spring wire.
Contained in shagreen covered fitted box with green velvet lining.

Box dimensions: H: 1 5/8 x W: 5 1/2 x D: 3 3/8 in.

From the Estate of John A. Davidson, Jr. Proceeds to benefit the APL of Lorain County and the Dittrick Museum.
