Ca. 2nd half 5th century AD.
A Roman, North African terracotta oil lamp with a central tondo featuring a raised 'Chi Rho' monogram. Two filling holes on the discus; the tondo is framed by a band of ovolo designs. The lamp further exhibits a mid-length spout with a rounded nozzle, a handle and a base. Atlante type XI; Hayes II. For similar see: Ancient Lamps in the J.P. Getty Museum, Inventory Number 503-504.
