Ca. 1-200 AD A mould-made red terracotta oil lamp with a flat base, a recessed tondo with a small fill hole, and a playful dolphin in low relief. The lamp has a rounded wick spout with volutes on each side and a small loop handle to the rear. On the bottom workshop mark in the form of a sandal impression. Burn marks, intact.Size: L:120mm / W:74mm ; 45gProvenance: Property of a London Art gallery; Ex. collection PR, southern Germany, ca. 1970 - mid 1990s. Accompanied by the Certificate of authenticity from Galerie Arete, Zurich, 1977.
