Always a favorite with Errol Flynn fans, this beautiful image is a poster many have sought through the years. These one sheets do not appear frequently in the marketplace.

During restoration, several points of paper loss were found near the title and around the center fold line. Additionally, the poster's borders have been replaced.

Director Michael Curtiz made 13 films with Errol Flynn, three in 1940 alone, including this superb swashbuckler set in the Elizabethan era. Flynn stars as the privateer Captain Geoffrey Thorpe, who loots ships on behalf of England without the blessing of the Queen (Flora Robson). The film offers danger on the high seas, swordplay, and high romance.
