This is the initial screen version of Steinbeck's classic Depression drama. Posters for this film have always been known to be scarce, and the best guess is that Roach Studios did not get strong distribution of the film, making the poster rare.

The borders and a section of the center fold lines have been airbrushed during professional restoration.

Directed by Lewis Milestone from the best-selling John Steinbeck novel, it stars Burgess Meredith and Lon Chaney, Jr. in a chilling performance as his innocent and mentally handicapped brother.
