Notes & Literature: Atelier Bluhm was a photographic studio in Berlin, Germany, active from around 1905 to 1930. The studio was founded by photographer Paul Bluhm, and it specialized in portraiture, fashion photography, and advertising photography.
Bluhm was born in Berlin in 1877, and he studied photography at the Technical University of Berlin. After graduating, he worked as a photographer for a number of different studios before opening his own studio in 1905.
Atelier Bluhm was a successful studio, and it produced a wide range of high-quality photographs. The studio's work was characterized by its elegant compositions, its use of natural light, and its attention to detail.
Some of the most famous photographers who worked at Atelier Bluhm include Nicola Perscheid, Hugo Erfurth, and Hans Finsler. The studio's work was also featured in a number of magazines and newspapers, including Die Dame, Uhu, and Berliner Illustrirte Zeitung.
