Description
Joseph Palmer (1716 – 1788). American general during the Revolutionary war. Served on the Committee of Safety. Served at the Battle of Lexington. DS. 1 page. 8 ½” x 3 ¾”. Palmer appoints Mr. Joseph Wild “You are hereby appointed Quarter-Master to Colo. McIntosh’s regiment, being a detachment form Suffolk Brigade of Militia, for which appointment this shall be your sufficient warrant. Given under my hand at Watertown, the 18th of September, 1776. An interesting document signed by this scarce Revolutionary War General. Mounted to thick card stock.
