Lot consists of: (A) Framed October, 24, 1879 edition of the Daily Bodie Standard, Mono County California. Great info on cover highlights saloons, breweries, mill and mining supplies, stage lines, etc. (B) Framed Gold Rush era letter sheet by J. M. Hutchings (1820-1902), San Francisco, 1853. This broadside lithograph is entitled "The Miner's Ten Commandments." The reverse typically would have light blue lines to guide one in handwriting a letter that would be posted to friends and loved ones back home in the East. Each of the commandments offers a humorous description of how a typical miner should behave in the California Gold Rush. (C) Antique framed California state seal with embossed gold emblem explaining the adoption of the design. CONDITION: All fine to very fine. None examined out of frame.
