Murchison Meteorite, CM2 Victoria, Australia, Meteorite fragment revealing both the interior and exterior of an important specimen, the muted, textured surface of the fusion crust is in stark relief to the grey matrix containing white Calcium-Aluminum Inclusions (CAIs), an exemplary specimen containing organic compounds and possibly related to the meteorite that introduced the precursors of life to Earth, approx. 1 x 1.5" x 1.5"
