[36], 572, [2]. 7 incisioni compresa l’antiporta. L’antiporta allegorica raffigura un angelo che regge una tavolozza e un cherubino con in basso una veduta a volo d’uccello di Venezia. Bella copia.Rara prima edizione. Quest'opera può essere considerata la prima vera guida di Venezia. Boschini fu pittore, incisore, miniatore e scrittore in epoca barocca; la sua conoscenza della pittura era tale che la sua consulenza era spesso richiesta da principi e ricchi collezionisti che desideravano creare o arricchire le proprie collezioni ogniqualvolta fosse necessario un parere attendibile per stimare il valore di un'eredità o per mediare un acquisto. 12mo, 150x80 mm. Vellum binding, handwritten title on the spine, sprayed edges. Pp. 36, 572, 2. 7 plates including the Frontispiece. The pictorial frontispiece depicts an angel holding a palette and a cherub with a bird's eye view of Venice below. Nice copy.
