Bound in modern tan leather. *************** First and only edition of the first original American legal work, and the earliest book published in America on the law of wills. The present copy bears the ownership signature (upper title) of James Murray, who was likely the Annapolis physician who became Thomas Jefferson's physician.
Condition
Title torn and repaired, a few leaves detached at front, several old mercantile ink-stamps, soiling to title and a few other places, occasional foxing or other stains including some water-stains in a few places throughout, a few small marginal chips or tears. Sold as-is.
