Chinese Ming Dynasty Yellow Ground Blue and White Dragon Porcelain Tianzi Lidded Jar On Carved Hardwood Stand with Original Fitted Box. Potted with a large cylinder vessel, having thick and tall potted body, slight ovoid belly, heavy on shoulder gently tapered on short neck, round opening lip with flat dome lid, raised on short ring foot base. Hand painted ornamentations are rendered in yellow base colour which contrast against blue colour, depicted of five claws imperial dragon soaring amidst flames, vapours, chasing blazing pearl amidst scrolling cumulus clouds, with face toward the heavens. The backdrop depicts swirling wind and fire painted atop a beautiful white under glaze. Which attracting unceasingly admiration. The Under-base bears a reign mark, a single under glazed blue script characters reign mark. Made in The Years Reign Period of The Great Ming Dynasty.
