Description
A Parmalee & Bonnell "1871" brass top bell bottom frame with ERR and the 1871 patent stamped in the lit. It has a skirted base and it's an earlier version with the bail going through the vent area and not on "ears" off the cage. It is a single piece frame so the fount should be fixed to the base/bell. The fount collar is loose and wrapped in bubble wrap. This is not uncommon. Not an easy repair to do correctly but cleaning and a spot of Gorilla glue to the base of the glass fount will do the trick. The burner is a brass flat, pick-wick. The frame has even weathering and has not been cleaned. It would clean up nicely with a little effort. The unmarked clear 6" barrel is not bad news. The Eastern rarely used marked globes in their lantern frames where you could change the globe (Yankee comes to mind).. Good luck finding a cast Eastern globe.
