CONTINENTAL CERAMIC COMEDIC / HUMOROUS FIGURAL HUMIDORS, LOT OF FOUR, comprising one Ally Slooper head example depicting a large nosed man in a hat, one featuring a man smoking a cigar and holding crying twins, one depicting two monks in a fist fight in front of large radish, and one featuring a gentleman carrying his rotund belly in a wheelbarrow,ย two having sponge holder top. Marks to underside include impressed "JM", "WS & S", and various numerals. Johann Maresch (Austrian, 1821-1914), Austria or Czechoslovakia; Wilhelm Schiller & Sohn, Obergrund, Bohemia. Fourth quarter 19th/early 20th century. 11 3/4" HOA.

Each in excellent visual condition; man holding twins having some minorย professional restoration including two chips on rim, some minute flakes, and possible paint touch-ups; Ally Slooper having some minor spots of professional restoration to hat including additionalย possible paint touch-ups; wheelbarrow having a flake to side of wheel; fighting monks example having a minute flake to one monk's nose and possible minor paint touch-ups.
