Description
JOHANN MARESCH (AUSTRIAN, 1821-1914), CERAMIC FIGURAL HUMIDORS, LOT OF FIVE, each with a double-banded barrel, comprising one example depicting a standing boy wearing lederhosen and a feathered hat, having a match holder to top of barrel, and four examples depicting figures emerging from a barrel including an Asian gentleman, a cowboy, and a bald gentleman drinking from a "Pilsner" mug. Each stamped "JM" to underside with additional numerals, one having "Austria". Johann Maresch, Austria or Czechoslovakia. Fourth quarter 19th/early 20th century. 8 1/8" HOA.

Lederhosen boy and pilsner mug example undamaged, most having some scattered glaze wear; cowboy having some restoration to hat; Asian example having barrel with some scattered chips/flakes to interior gallery and some staining; one having a minor flake to interior barrel rim.
