He served in the military during the Korean conflict, After military service he was employed By a major communication company where he spent times in the Asian countries His interest of the fine artwork on porcelains created his desire to collect various items over his career.

Famille rose translates to the pink family, on a colored ground decoration. Each bulging sides enclosing colorful falangcai, famille rose on a colored ground decoration, of Bajixiang. All this in advertently gave texture, energy, shading to the design, and prosperous combination color in Chinese culture.The Under-base bears a reign mark, a six under glazed blue script characters reign marks. Made in The Years of Kangxi Reign Period of The Great Qing Dynasty.
