The estate of James Berndon (1931 - 2017) after the passing of his loving spouse the collection has been placed in our care. He served in the military during the Korean conflict, After military service he was employed By a major communication company where he spent times in the Asian countries His interest of the fine artwork on porcelains created his desire to collect various items over his career.

Set of 2 Chinese Qing Dynasty Blue and White Dragon Porcelain Large Vases. Potted in large shape vase, thick and tall, globular lower body, tapered gracefully toward straight tall cylindrical neck, with slight flaring mouth rim, raised on a short small round foot base with slight concave. Hand painted ornamentations are rendered in white base color which contrast blue fine color, depicted of imperial five claws dragon flying careening through cumulus clouds above thrashing Li-shui waves. The glaze has smooth texture and moisturizing and uniformly proportion. Which attracting unceasingly admiration.The Under-base bears a reign mark, a six under glazed blue script characters reign mark. Made in The Years Reign of Daoguang Period of The Great Qing Dynasty. Made in The Years of Jiaqing Reign Period of The Great Qing Dynasty.
