**Originally Listed At $600**

Western Europe, likely Germany, England, or France, ca. 17th to 18th century CE. A pair of iron polearms with lengthy wood shafts. The spear has a lanceolate blade with a tubular socket, and a billhook with maker / armorer marks. The billhook design was both on a battle field and farmer's field as an agricultural tool. The wooden poles on both are probably not original to the heads. Size of spear: 74.5" L x 2.5" W (189.2 cm x 6.4 cm)

Provenance: ex-Estate of Eldert Bontekoe, Pegasi Numismatics, Ann Arbor, Michigan USA acquired before 2000

Condition
Wood poles are probably not original to the pieces and may be later 20th century additions. Pitting and abrasions to the iron heads, with dark patina and toning.
