Description
Western Europe, probably England or France, Medieval Period, ca. 12th to 14th century CE. A forged-iron spear point with a petaloid blade bearing a raised midrib, sharpened edges, and a large, pointed tip. The blade emanates from atop a socketing shaft which would have rested at one end of a lengthy wooden pole. Size: 8.5" L x 1.1" W (21.6 cm x 2.8 cm)

Condition
Slight bending to blade, with chipping around rim of socketing shaft, and expected pitting and oxidation. Nice preservation to overall form.
