Judaica: A rare Russian silver Torah shield with a chain. The sole purpose of the Torah Mantle is to cover and protect the Torah it houses. Upon examination, it became apparent that this textile is fragile and requires careful handling.
HALLMARKS: '84' for silver standard, Cyrillic maker's mark "I.S" for Ivan Sazikov, famous Russian silver master.
ASSAYER: '1868' for year and 'IZ' in Cyrillic for unidentified assay master (Postnikova-Loseva # 3147).
