Hezekiah Baker (African American, 1940-2007). An original oil painting on Upson board. A Florida Highwayman beach landscape with twin palms trees surrounded by additional botanical elements, and an Ocean seascape in background beneath a blue sky with distant storm clouds. Artist signature to lower left. The artist was a founding member of The Florida Highwayman, African American landscape artists mentored by Albert (Beanie) Backus (1906-1990). Provenance; a private collection.
Dimensions: 23.75 X 35.35 X .25 in.
Condition: Good overall vintage condition having mild age related surface wear, and mild wear to edges and corners. Sold unframed. Estate fresh to the market.
