Fine Antique Yupik / Inuit Doll, Alaska, C. Early 20th C. Made with the furs and skins of assorted indigenous animals, which paperwork states as: squirrel, arctic hare, wolverine, fawn, beaver, mooseskin, sealskin and sea lion. Provenance: Brought back to Philadelphia by missionary Father Edmund A. Anable, S.J. (1903-1992) and presented to Miss Agnes Hastings, who supported his missionary work in Alaska, thence by Hastings family descent. Size: 16'' x 8'' x 2'' (41 x 20 x 5 cm).
