Description
Native American, Northwestern United States, Alaska, Inuit, Yupik, Inupiat (Inupiaq), ca. late 19th to early 20th century CE. A charming hand-carved walrus ivory pipe with a polar bear standing on the stem. The sides and underside are incised with linear motifs, concentric circles, and dots. The flared receptacle bowl and stem and bear are all carved from a single piece of ivory! Size: 3.375" L x 0.675" W x 1.375" H (8.6 cm x 1.7 cm x 3.5 cm)
This is an ESA antique exempt piece of ivory and cannot be sold internationally or to anyone residing in the states of California, Hawaii, Illinois, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Oregon, and Washington. We guarantee that the piece was made prior to 1972.

Condition
Hairline fissure on mouthpiece, rest is intact and very good. Yellow patina and dark residue from use int receptacle bowl.
