Southeast Asia, Thailand, Ban Chiang, ca. 300 BCE to 300 CE. A set of 2 hand-built pottery jars from ancient Thailand. The first jar features incised notches around the shoulder as well as the carinated midsection, and the body of larger vessel exhibits a textured pattern above its flared foot. Size of largest: 6.84" W x 5.3" H (17.4 cm x 13.5 cm)
Provenance: private Lumberton, Texas, USA collection, acquired before 2010; (larger): ex-Haig's of Rochester, Rochester, Michigan, USA, sold on July 22, 2007

Rim of smaller vessel with repairs and small area of restoration; larger vessel is intact. Each vessel with light abrasions and earthen deposits, otherwise in good condition. Nice preservation to overall forms.
