An antique 19th-century Tibetan cast copper alloy figurine representing Manjushri, the bodhisattva associated with wisdom in Mahayana Buddhism. The deity is represented seated on a lotus throne, with a flaming sword in his right hand which symbolizes the transcendent wisdom which cuts down ignorance and duality.
