Description
A rare Lincoln relic, a small swath of original wallpaper from the room in the Petersen House where Lincoln died. The swath measures approx. .75 in. square, and was obtained by original owner’s great grandmother who collected it between 1900-1932 when the house was restored by the National Park Service. Accompanied by a copy of a document from the U. S. Department of the Interior, 1p. 4to., Washington, Oct. 1, 1980, attesting to the wallpaper’s authenticity based on forensic evidence. Fine condition.
