Description
Eastern Roman Empire, Anatolia, Ankara, Imperial Period, ca. 1st to 3rd century CE. A sizable glass bottle from the city of Ankara, a major trading and administrative city on the eastern frontier of the Roman empire. The glass is blown from a pale aqua green and semi-opaque hue, the base has a deeply concave kick indentation. An impressive example due to the size and superb condition! Size: 4.5" Diameter x 8" H (11.4 cm x 20.3 cm)
