This scarce poster has been professionally paper-backed and there was airbrush work to correct three tape stains in the lower border and one in the upper right border. There were pinholes that have been corrected as well.

Quickly shot to take advantage of the publicity surrounding the competing film, George Pal's Destination Moon (1950), and beat it into the theaters, Rocketship X-M features minimal, but surprisingly effective, special effects and a groundbreaking score. The pinkish-sepia-tinted Mars scenes add an extra layer of atmosphere to this popular picture.
