Description
Pre-Columbian, West Mexico, Colima, ca. 300 BCE to 300 CE. A fine trio of spear tips that are hand-knapped from slender fragments of jet-black obsidian. Each tool features a stocky body with a gently tapered handle with fan notches, smooth, lustrous surfaces, and a dramatically pointed tip that could pierce even the toughest of hide or skin. Size of largest: 7.5" L x 0.875" W (19 cm x 2.2 cm)

Loss to point of one spear tip as shown; larger 2 are intact. Minor chips and light earthen deposits, otherwise in excellent condition. Great luster throughout!
